Change default web browser in Microsoft Windows

If you are a Windows 10 user, there are two browsers in this operating system namely Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge is a new browser that became the default browser to replace Microsoft's old browser, Microsoft Internet Explorer. Although Microsoft Edge is better than Microsoft Internet Explorer, for now, the feature is still limited, while Microsoft Internet Explorer itself has experienced failure and abandoned by its users.

Due to the limited features that are available in the Microsoft Edge, many Windows 10 users then install other browsers from the third-party provider such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera. Each browser has its own advantages and disadvantages such as a browser with support for multiple extensions, a browser with better performance, or a browser with more features. This is also a reason why a computer has more than one browser.

If your Windows 10 computer has more than one browser installed, one browser will be the default browser. When you click on a link in an email or perform an action that triggers a browser running, then Windows 10 will run this default browser. In Windows 10, If you never change the Windows settings for the default apps, your default browser is Microsoft Edge.
