Microsoft Edge is a default browser included in Microsoft Windows 10 to replace Microsoft Internet Explorer. Microsoft Edge was created and designed as a browser that is easier to use, faster, more secure for Microsoft Windows 10 and designed for the modern web. Microsoft continues to provide updates and improvements to the browser along with the major updates of Microsoft Windows 10.
Recently, Microsoft Edge again received updates along with major update of Windows 10 to Fall Creators Update (version 1709). In Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, one of the new features added to Microsoft Edge is the presence of the Repair and Reset buttons. You can use the Repair button if Microsoft Edge is not working properly. If the problem persists, you can use the Reset button.
As the browser in general, Microsoft Edge is not always in its best performance. You may notice some annoying issues such as Microsoft Edge can not be opened, run slow, shut down by itself, and so on. You can use the Repair or the Reset button to fix any problems that arise. This is Microsoft's answer to the users request to provide repair option. Thanks to Microsoft.
To use the Repair and Reset buttons, right-click the Windows button located in the lower left corner of the screen to open WinX Menu (1) and then select Settings (2).
In the Windows Settings window that appears, select Apps (Uninstall, defaults, optional features).
In the Settings - Apps window that appears, click Apps & features (1), click Microsoft Edge (2), and then click Advanced options (3).
Now, you can see the Repair (1) and Reset (2) buttons ready to use.
